Take a look at the highlights of what FOM does throughout the year. Enjoy this overview of the fundraisers, events, and projects that happened over the 22-23 school year. ALL of this is possible because of the support of the Magnolia Community and the many family and staff volunteers - we cannot thank you enough! Thank you to all who gave, volunteered, or participated in any way and continue to! Our goal is always to support the students, families, and staff of Magnolia Montessori for all.

    A Year in Review

  • Annual Fund!

    Successful annual fund, raising over $17,000!

    Thank you to all who donated! Donations paid for: Encyclopedias, a downpayment on playground equipment, grants for teachers…and let’s not forget, Donatello!

    Our kids raised over $602 to fund Donatello’s wonderful new home

    Thank you to Ashley Rodgers and Cherelle VanBrakle for leading the fundraising!

  • T-Shirt and Hoodie Sales

    The Tshirt and hoodie sales brought in a net of over $5500! Thank you to Theresa Tran and team!

  • Grants to staff and families

    Grants given this year went to so many needed items requested by staff and families!

    • Montessori materials like Waseca sentence building, world maps and map cabinets

    • Equipment and materials for El Universo and funds to improve their space

    • Community patio improvements like sunshades, pavers, patio chairs and gardening resources

    • Registration of a conference on social work for our Whole Child Specialist to attend

    • Outdoor bunny cage

    • Soccer goal for all kids to enjoy!

    • Social Emotional Learning books for Children’s House

  • Staff Appreciation

    We love our staff! One way we support them is through snacks and meals throughout the year! Through your donations and support through fundraisers, we are able to provide several meals and snacks throughout the year. Thank you to Kate Batch and her team!

  • Staff Relief

    Staff relief to the rescue!  Our Staff Relief team helped with so many organization and support tasks including:

    • Maintaining and stocking the supply closet for staff

    • Organizing and creating more sets of Waseca materials

    • Organizing classroom libraries and the teacher workroom shared libraries

    • Creating and maintaining a stock of practice sheets for handwriting, metal insets and more, for Children's House

    • Meticulously copying, cutting, and laminating 25 projects for teachers this year!

  • Room Reps

    A huge thank you to our room reps for supporting their Guides, connecting with the families in their classes, organizing teacher snacks, and organizing class events. They led thankfulness cards, holiday gift donations, and organized Friday snacks for staff, and so much more.

    You’re a huge support to both the staff and the families.

  • Beautification Days

    Volunteers came out to plant, weed, and spruce up the campus!

    With our dedicated staff and families’ hard work and donations, we were able to make many campus improvements including creating an outdoor teacher lounge and redoing the landscaping by the walkway down to campus.

  • cultural heritage festival

    Cultural Heritage Festival

    A wonderful day sharing the many cultures and food of our community! Thank you Gabi Garcia and Ceyli Jackson for leading it!

  • Movie Nights - fall and spring

    We had 2 awesome movie nights this year! Rise of Gru in the fall and Puss N Boots in the spring! These raised money for FOM in the fall and the Upper Elementary camping trip in the spring! Thank you to Kristen Williams and Daisha Anderson for making these happen!

  • Scholastic Book Fair

    The Book fair raised around $6500 in total sales, approximately 50% going towards Guides purchasing books for their classroom libraries! Thank you Kam McEvoy for leading this!

  • Chuck E Cheese

    Fun night out and fundraiser, Chuck E Cheese was a great night and raised over $800 for the school!

  • FOM Family Camping Weekends

    Two wonderful camping weekends in Palmetto and Buescher State Parks. Looking forward to next fall! Thank you Joan Freeman for leading this!

  • Phil's and Amy's Fundraiser

    Magnolia families came out in droves and smashed fundraising records, raising over $1500 for playground equipment!

  • STAAR Ice Cream Party

    A fun event to congratulate all the students who completed their STAAR tests and treat our teachers for the hard work it took all year to get them there.

  • Thank you Staff!

    Thank you to our incredible staff - all the guides, assistant guides, all the admin, all the special education staff, everyone who does such incredible work each day to give our children the most incredible school experience. Thank you!
